This item works great with my Tom-Tom gps but bounces a lot while driving. I mostly use the voice instructions so it's not too bothersome.

This mount does away with the long power cord and mounts/operates from your car lighter position. It is very adjustable,but because vehicle brands are different this mount may work better in some vehicles than in others and may not fit at all in some vehicles. It also mounts down low away from the windshield and your line of sight. Mine is in a 2001 Acura MDX SUV and it interferes some with the console mounted gear shift. I much prefer it there than on the windshield and this mount is much better than the windshield mount that came with the the TomTom. Make sure the mount will fit your model of TomTom. I rate it 9 out of a possible 10 for convenience and price.

I bought this base on the previous reviewer because they use it with the same model TomTom Go630 I have. I was a little worried because I'd read elsewhere that this type of mount is prone to wobbling and rotating on it's own in the socket. This is not the case here, even while using the touch screen and power button. It's very steady and stable while driving. It could be improved a little by allowing it to rotate right at the mount as well as between the 2 elbows but I was still able to configure it so it's visible and doesn't interfere with vehicles controls and readouts.
