The mount is compatible with the Samsung Galaxy S2 (AT&T) version. The mount is sturdy and well built. My only complaint is there is some audio buzzing when the phone is charging. One other annoyance is sound did not work through the mount when I first connected it. Turns out there is a setting on the phone that needs changed before it will work. Had to do the following to get it to work: on the phone go to Settings -> Dock Settings -> Audio output mode and check "Use external speakers when device is docked".

This holder has the windshield suction mount. A puck with an adhesive back is provided to attach to any other flat surface. You will have to remove your Galaxy from its case to install the phone in this holder. The mounting is very secure. There is a car charger plug included with this mount. The holder has a 3.5mm audio output jack receptacle should you need to plug into a radio.

I purchased this car kit in the hopes of using my phone to replace my car GPS unit. The car kit is definitely great quality, sturdy and fits the phone perfectly. I did have some troubles getting the phone back out, and like other reviewers, I was worried about scratching the phone up. With the fit for this phone being so tight, it is extremely unlikely that the phone would fit with any form of case on.

I ran into a bit of a problem when trying to charge my phone and use the audio out port at the same time. When I tried to use the audio out port on the actual car kit, I would get no audio. If I plugged my cable into the headphone jack on the phone itself, I would get a hum or a buzz when the power cable was plugged in. I use my phone for music while driving very frequently, so this was obviously going to be a problem for me. I would have simply returned the unit for a replacement, but the problem that affected me more was the size of the mounting arm and the lack of pivoting joints. I have a smaller vehicle and not being able to adjust the way the phone points or how high off the dashboard it sits is a major problem. Even when in a landscape orientation, the car kit left my phone sitting so high that it was difficult to read from and interact with the screen, as well as blocking a significant portion of my view of the road.

I decided not to keep this, even though it is definitely a great product. It simply did not work for my situation. Thanks to Amazon, who quickly provided me with a return shipping label and a prompt refund.
